GREEN SCENES

An afternoon of scenes, songs, and poems for the climate fight.

SUNDAY 8TH OF SEPTEMBER, 1:30PM

THE OLD FITZ, FREE EVENT

Climate change is: overwhelming, scary, a little bit boring, isolating, confusing, not at all sexy, talked about way too much, talked about way too little, and a problem that feels impossible to solve. But why should we experience all this in isolation?

Blinking Light was thrilled to bring an afternoon of scenes, songs, and poems that celebrate the planet and centre on the climate fight to The Old Fitz.

Community is key to the climate fight, and we invite you to join us; celebrating the immense joy the natural world brings; experiencing the heavy weight of climate related grief, and to ponder this confusing place we find ourselves in, together in community.

Featuring performances by: Hamish Alexander, Brodie Baldwin, Rhiannon Bryan, Jarrah Carlile, Poppy Cozens, Oliver James Damian, Isaac Harley, Nehir Hatipoglu, Caterina Imbro, Melina Otero, Natalie Patterson, and Jai Sahota, Jordan Stewart, Callum Wilson.

"The afternoon brought passionate environmentalists, artists, hearts and minds all together in a respectful and open-minded way. "- Stage Door Podcast

Blinking Light acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which we gather. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.

The climate fight must include First Nations voices. Sovereignty was never ceded.

It always was, and always will be,

Aboriginal Land.
